Crag-ready performance pants
Anyone who’s been bouldering or climbing in the great outdoors knows all too well what the crag lifestyle can do to your clothes. We’re talking scuffs, tears, unfortunately placed rips and more. The Kanab pants, however, are built to tackle this. Made with a tough - and sustainable - organic cotton blend canvas, these performance-ready pants feature a stretchy waistband and flexible cuffs, multiple pocket options, a standard inseam of 28”, and an articulated fit throughout. All of these features, coupled with the handy double layered fabric protection at the knees, should ensure your trousers will last much longer than a single climb

The need for shorts that offered supreme comfort and mobility was the starting point for PrAna, the California brand founded in 1992 by husband-and-wife team Beaver and Pam Theodosakis. Working out of a small garage in the coastal city of Carlsbad, the duo set out on a journey to make stylish and functional activewear. But there was a higher purpose too – namely, respect for the planet and its people. From the outset, they committed to sustainability and lessening the environmental impact of everything they made.
It was an ethos rooted in the realisation that everything is connected. This concept was encapsulated in the name that Beaver and Pam chose for their brand, prana. It’s a Sanskrit word that literally translates as ‘breath’, but which refers to the universal energy that flows within and among us, connecting us with all other living beings. So, for PrAna, what you wear matters. It matters firstly because clothing that gives you the freedom to move inspires you to chase adventures and stay active. But secondly, it matters because sustainable clothing lessens our impact on the planet. It’s the right thing to do – and the right thing to wear.
I find them comfortable, sturdy, and attractive.
